Exclamation Marks: The Enemy Of Polished Writing

The late great Terry Pratchett once said “Multiple exclamation marks are a sure sign of a diseased mind.” Or rather, his character Eric said it for him. Mr Pratchett also alluded to his dislike for multiple exclamation marks in Reaper Man and Maskerade.
