The Community Notes Conundrum
Community Notes are the butt of rants and jokes, and sometimes they’re a perfect punchline; they’re the source of much consternation, consideration and contemplation in the social media sphere.
But sadly, Community Notes are an all too human endeavour. And that’s why they’re failing.
How it Started
A few months back, in a moment of madness, I applied to become a Community Notes contributor on Twitter — and then promptly forgot all about it.
Many weeks later I was informed I’d been accepted. That was the entire process.
